Come learn filmmaking at the Seattle Film Institute, founded in 1994. SFI offers full-time programs in filmmaking and in film producing as well as part-time classes in film production, HD, documentary, screenwriting, directing, digital editing, and film history.

40 Week Total Immersion
Filmmaking Program

In the Total Immersion Filmmaking Program students live, eat, and breathe filmmaking. You'll learn the creative & technical aspects of filmmaking, develop the skills to be an independent filmmaker, and gain the hands-on experience shooting real film and HD Video to work in the film industry. The evening 10 month Film Producing Program and the 40 Week Full Time Filmmaking Program start Sept. 20th.

Creative side of Editing starts Oct. 9th, the first of many part time courses starting in October.

In the Professional Certificate Film Producing Program , students develop the expertise to pursue a career as a film producer. LA Film Internship Update

Just heard from Emily Williams and Erin Levine - two students who moved to LA after graduation and wanted to let me know about their internships:

Hi Chris!
I just finished my internship on Thursday. I absolutely loved Maguire Entertainment. I loved working in a production company's office and working close to producers. They had me doing regular intern stuff like running errands, reading scripts, organizing etc. However, I was lucky enough
