SFI Alum Working For Roger Corman

Submitted by Chris on Tue, 12/28/2010 - 17:33

Got an update from Justin Fox whose been busy at Roger Corman's New Horizons Pictures:

"As a huge fan of horror-films, I was very excited and more than a little intimidated when the first internship interview SFI set up for me was with Roger Corman himself! The interview went great, and I got the internship. They kept me very busy doing everything from editing trailers to writing treatments to (sometimes) getting coffee. I learned a ton and had a great time. Best of all, when my internship was complete, they hired me on full time, and I couldn’t be happier! The strong skill-set I gained at SFI has served me very well."

LA Film Internship Update

Submitted by Chris on Wed, 06/30/2010 - 17:48

Just heard from Emily Williams and Erin Levine - two students who moved to LA after graduation and wanted to let me know about their internships:

Hi Chris!
I just finished my internship on Thursday. I absolutely loved Maguire Entertainment. I loved working in a production company's office and working close to producers. They had me doing regular intern stuff like running errands, reading scripts, organizing etc. However, I was lucky enough to be able to split my time between that office and the editing room and also be a personal assistant to the director of the movie that they are currently working on.
