Refund Policy
1. When calculating refunds, the official date of a student’s termination is the last day of recorded attendance:
- (a) When the Institute receives written notice of the student’s intention to discontinue the training program; or
- (b) When the student is terminated for a violation of an Institute policy which provides for termination; or
- (c) When a student, who has given no written notice of termination, fails to attend classes for thirty calendar days.
2. All refunds will be paid within thirty calendar days of the student’s official termination date for a student who has given written notice (see 1a above) or has been terminated by the Institute (see 1b above). For a student who has given no written notice (see 1c above) the refund amount will be calculated based on the last day of recorded attendance and will be paid within 60 days of the last recorded attendance.
The MFA in Filmmaking, and the MA in Producing for Film are both designed as intensive cohort programs. Students who attend the program up to 10% of the program receive a 90% tuition refund; those who attend up to 25% of the program receive a 75% refund; those who attend up to 50% of the program receive a 50% tuition refund. Those who withdraw after the mid-point of the program are responsible for the full program tuition.
